My current position:  Manager of the Plasma Spectrochemistry Laboratory,

The Scientific Service Core Facility (ZBM Analytical Lab)
The Faculty of Agriculture, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (since 2001).



Lab Duties:
  • Setting up and maintaining the ICP-OES/MS Laboratory; overseeing lab operations.

  • Providing customer service, including technical support and follow-up; managing sales and placing orders with vendors and suppliers.

  • Supervising lab personnel and managing the lab's website.

  • Conducting sampling and analyses, including sample collection and analysis using ICP-OES/MS. Developing assays for a wide range of samples, such as environmental samples, noble metal alloys, pharmaceutical products, and biological tissues, for elemental analysis using ICP-OES/MS.

  • Presenting data and writing reports.

  • Developing and validating methods; writing validation protocols and reports in accordance with GLP.

  • Training and supervising ICP-OES/MS operators; providing group and individual training.

  • Delivering lectures on Atomic Spectroscopy methods to students from various faculties.

  • Chloride Analyzer M926, Sherwood Scientific Ltd., UK.

  • Microwave-assisted digestion (sample preparation);

  • Sequential extraction protocols (sample preparation);

  • Atomic emission and mass spectrometry (elements concentration  determination);

  • Argentometry (chlorine determination);

  • Potentiometry (pH and EC determination);

  • Gravimetry (water TSS and TDS determination).

Capable of working with:

  • UV-VIS Spectrophotometry;

  • HPLC, GC and GC-MS;

  • TOC analysis;

  • Elemental Analysis (CHNSO determination);

  • FTIR.
